F.A.Q
Q. What is the book about?
A. Lance Manley's experiences in the City of London Police and an unnamed second Police Force between 2004 and 2008. The book takes in several historical events such as July 7th and July 21st 2005's terrorist attacks, the shooting by Police of Jean Charles de Menezes, the November 2005 change in UK alcohol licensing laws and the murder of Manchester goth Sophie Lancaster in August 2007.
Q. Is it true this book is dedicated to Sophie Lancaster?
A. Yes, Lance asked Sophie's mother Silvia for permission to dedicate the book to Sophie which she granted.
Q. Is this book pro or anti Police?
A. This quote should give you an idea "if you want a poodle then buy one, but don't buy a Rottweiler, pull all its teeth out and have it neutered and then complain that it's lost its aggressive edge".
Q. When is it out and who's the publisher?
A. Late 2009 and the publisher is Troubador using the Matador imprint.

Q. Was Lance really on duty in London on July 7th 2005 in the area of the terrorist attacks?
A. Lance was indeed on duty that day, specifically on the cordon around Aldgate Underground station which was a target of the terrorist attacks where 7 people died. He and around 30 other Special Constables of the City of London Police downed tools from their day jobs and came in at short notice to "man the pumps" in the wake of this appalling atrocity. He was also on duty on July 21st 2005 after the failed attempts to repeat the attacks.
Q. Are the people in the book identified by their real names or pseudonyms?
A. Pseudonyms or job titles only, except for people already in the public eye (e.g. Enzo G Castellari who directed the original version of "Inglorious Bastards" or Ian Johnston the Chief Constable of the British Transport Police who Lance met on July 7th 2005).

A. The book contains a glossary of the terms used for those unfamiliar with Police speak.
Q. What was Lance's rank when he resigned from the Police?
A. Probationary Constable.
Q. Why did Lance resign from the Police?
A. Read the book and find out.
